"... offering a vital service to the public and qualities such as integrity and dedication are of great importance in our work"

LifeLine's Personal Growth & Self Awareness and Counselling Skills Training Courses

Develop self-awareness and your ability to hear others and relate more meaningfully to them in all areas of their lives through your own personal growth.

Develop counselling skills with the view to becoming a LifeLine counsellor.

Counsellors are lay-people who care for, and are concerned about others and therefore choose to receive training in counselling and join our team of dedicated counsellors who provide this 24-hour reliable and confidential service.

The course

  • No qualification in psychology is needed.
  • The minimum age for applicants is 23 years.
  • The format for learning is through practical experience and personal sharing as opposed to formal lectures and note taking.
  • Attendance at ALL sessions is mandatory.
  • The course is divided into two modules, and on successful selection, further internship sessions.
  • Selection after MODULE 2 will determine whether you will be accepted as a LifeLine counsellor and thus able to continue on.
  • The next Counselling Course starts on 17 August 2010.
