LifeLine Johannesburg newsletter
Welcome from Isabella
Isabella Holden (Lifeline director) and Monica Rammala (Peer educator)
Welcome to the inaugural LifeLine Johannesburg “From the Heart” newsletter!
Recent feedback received from LifeLine Johannesburg counsellors identified various needs, including a desire by counsellors to feel more connected and a need for improved communication.
I am hoping that this newsletter, among other initiatives, will help in improving connection and communication among counsellors and other important people within the LifeLine family. It has taken many hours of work to obtain information, collate and write the articles and send it out via our recently updated email database.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of LifeLine counsellors who have varied skills that go beyond counselling! A very big thank you to Michelle Langenegger who designed the newsletter masthead, Michelle Nel who compiled the articles, Joanna Booysen who compiled the board article, Mfusi Nongqotho who typed up our project manager's feedback, Rhandzu Mangolele who helped clean up the database and acted as our field journalist, Natalie Ernst who loaded all the articles onto the website, Chantal da Fonseca who assisted with sending out the newsletter via Mail Chimp, Kate Ensor who did the final proof reading and Glynnis Branthwaite who drove the process with her dynamic energy, TLC and PR experience.
This first edition will cover the highlights of 2016 as seen through the eyes of our dedicated and hard-working project leaders, who gave of their limited time to compile a list of what they thought made 2016 a great year. Thank you for all your hard work!
And last but not least, a very big thank you to Nicole Imerman for coordinating the first of this regular “From the Heart” newsletter.
We value your feedback, so if you have any comments, suggestions or ideas about the newsletter, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
